The film, written and directed by Juanma Fernández Paris and released in April 2009, explores the pop culture battle between salsa enthusiasts and new wave fans during the 1980’s in Puerto Rico. The quality of the film is not surprising since Fernández Paris is a renowned film critic in the island and he undoubtedly used elements learned through his analysis to bring an interesting story to life.
