    Theodor Seuss Geisel (pronounced /ˈsɔɪs ˈɡaɪzəl/; March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an Americanwriter and cartoonist from Springfield, Massachusetts.

    He was better known by his pen name, Dr. Seuss. After World War I he was a sophomore in high sch
